By all accounts, Arizona rancher Robert Krentz was a decent man who had the awful misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when he was murdered in cold blood.
The wrong place was on his own private property in Arizona.
Wrong, because Krentz, an American citizen, was shot and killed by an illegal alien (allegedly) from Mexico. The wrong time was close to midnight on March 27.
According to authorities, the motive for this cold-blooded slaughter may have something to do with the fact that the victim’s brother, Phil Krentz, reported drug smuggling activity on the ranch to the Border Patrol.

New jobless claims filed last week rose by 25,000 to 471,000, the government reported moments ago, defying predictions that they would drop. It’s the largest rise in three months.
The four-week moving average of new jobless claims, which smooths out week-to-week volatility, rose 3,000 to 453,500.
The official U.S. unemployment rate in April was 9.9 percent, up from 9.7 percent in March. But 290,000 new jobs were added to payrolls, encouraging those who believe a recovery is underway.

Why is our unemployment rate so high, and even higher in the Black communities? Obama promised approval of the stimulus bill would allow unemployment to not go over 8.0%. What happened to his “hard pivot for job creations?” Why does Congress continue to vote to spend billions on extending unemployment benefits? Unemployment benefits were designed to be for up to 27 weeks. Some have been on it for 2 years? Wouldn’t we be better served if that money was used into “job creations” allowing us to start or continue on our careers? Or would one be more comfortable hoping they continue to spend these billions? I vote for a job and career. You may call the White House and ask this question at 202-456-1414

These days, 24-year-old Delonta Spriggs spends much of his time cooped up in his mother’s one-bedroom apartment in Southwest Washington, the TV blaring soap operas hour after hour, trying to stay out of the streets and out of trouble, held captive by the economy. As a young black man, Spriggs belongs to a group that has been hit much harder than any other by unemployment.
Joblessness for 16-to-24-year-old black men has reached Great Depression proportions — 34.5 percent in October, more than three times the rate for the general U.S. population. And last Friday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that unemployment in the District, home to many young black men, rose to 11.9 percent from 11.4 percent, even as it stayed relatively stable in Virginia and Maryland.

(CNSNews.com) – In a “candid and constructive” human rights dialogue with officials from the People’s Republic of China last week, Obama administration officials brought up Arizona’s new immigration-enforcement law, telling the Chinese Communists it was an example of a “troubling trend” in the United States and an indication of “discrimination or potential discrimination” in American society. (No one in his administration has read the law – Andrew?)
Ironically, the State Department’s most recent report on human rights in China indicates that the government there restricts the internal travel of its own citizens.

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano admits she hasn’t read the Arizona immigration law, but passed judgment on it anyway. “That’s not the kind of law I would have signed,” she declared. “I believe it’s a bad law enforcement law. I believe it mandates and requires local enforcement and puts them in a position many do not want to be placed in,” Napolitano said. “When I was dealing with laws of that ilk, most of the law enforcement agencies in Arizona at that time were opposed to such legislation,” she claimed.

Mar. 8–Authorities are pushing to regulate what they say is a common method drug cartels use to move money across the border: stored-value cards.
A loophole in federal law lets people take the cards — which look like debit or credit cards — across the border freely.
The cards aren’t classified under federal law as a “monetary instrument,” which means holders don’t have to declare them. By contrast, anyone carrying more than $10,000 in cash across the border must declare it to customs officers.
Unlimited amounts of money can be put into accounts linked to the cards, making them attractive to smugglers looking to avoid increased scrutiny at ports of entry, authorities say.
Federal officials have no way of knowing how much money travels in and out of the United States on the cards because they have no way to track them. But Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard believes it’s millions, based on conversations with law-enforcement officials.
