The Florida Ballot qualifying for the 2010 elections:
2010 Qualifying Dates
Noon, April 26 – Noon, April 30, 2010
*Note: Qualifying papers will be accepted beginning April 12, 2010, pursuant
to Section 99.061(8), F.S.
* U.S. Senator
* Representative in Congress (all districts)
The qualifying fee’s are:
2010 Qualifying Fees Office Partisan No Party Affiliation
U.S. Senator /
U.S. Representative $10,440 $6,960
Because of my lack of transportation I am not going to be able to obtain the
necessary petition signatures to get on the ballot without paying the fee.
We really need to raise the $6,960.00 by April 25, 2010 to ensure we get on
the ballot. If we get on the ballot, we unlike party candidates, will not
have any primary challenge. As an Independent (No Party Affiliation) we can
campaign directly for the Nov 2, 2010 election without any expense of a
primary.
Once the qualifying is complete we will get media coverage as we will be a
valid candidate on the Florida ballot for US Congress in Florida’s 24th
District.
We need 334 contributions of $24.00 each or 3334 contributions of $2.40
each. All contributions of more than $200.00 requires we report the name,
address, employer, occupation to the FEC. Contributions $200 or less do
not. The maximum contribution allowed by law is $2400.00.
The Campaign contribution processing company deducts 6% per contribution
made by Visa or MasterCard and 7% per contribution made by American Express.
The only way to ensure this campaign is successful is to raise the funds to
ensure our name is on the ballot.
The following link is a secure site that people can contribute to make sure
we get on the ballot.
