Democrats Kill Jobs By Michael Master

Congress makes the laws. The Congress passes the budgets. The Congress passes out earmarks. The Congress increases and decreases taxes. The Congress is most responsible for the state of the economy….not the President and not the Supreme Court.

While the House changes every 2 years, the Senate is much more stable. Many people think the President manages the economy. But it is clear that the Senate has the most effect on the economy with legislation about taxes, earmarks, unions, help for small business, help for big business, bail outs for banks, bail outs for industry, trade agreements, bans on oil drilling, bans on nuclear sites, illegal immigration, etc.

It was Chris Dodd, the Senator from Connecticut, who personally stopped the increased regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. His actions led to the housing collapse. Chris Dodd and Harry Reid received the most political contributions from insurance companies. Then they pushed through the health insurance bill that has no provisions for increasing insurance competition.  It is the Senate who confirms all judicial appointments and approves all cabinet appointments. The Senate has the power to make or break America.

These charts cover the administrations of Clinton, Bush, and Obama. While Democrats have been in charge of the Senate, jobs have decreased by 2,373,000. That is right; our country has lost more than 2 million jobs in the last 18 years while the Democrats have been in control of the Senate.

Compare that to the fact that while the Republicans have been in charge of the Senate during the last 18 years, jobs have increased by 23,118,000.

Democrat Senators have killed jobs while Republican Senators have created jobs.

For the last 18 years:

1.  whenever jobs have decreased, Democrats have been in charge of the Senate.
2.  jobs increased every time that Republicans have been in charge of the Senate.

Some people asked the question why did Republicans spend so much money during the start of the Bush administration? The deficit increased to $400 Billion and the economy lost 2 million jobs (mostly because of 9/11).  Well, if you look closely, it was a Democrat Senate that was in charge. Democrats had control of the Senate for 2001 and 2002. They forced Bush to spend on their programs as payment to them for passing any of the Bush initiatives to thwart the impact of 9/11 on the economy.

The Democrat Senate of 2001 and 2002 squandered the surplus that was left for it by the Republican Senate of 1999 and 2000.

After the Republicans took back the control of the Senate in 2003, the deficit shrunk to $100 Billion by the end of 2006. When the Democrats took control of the Senate for 2007, employment dropped and the deficit ballooned again to where it is now close to $2 trillion. Let me say it again, the Democrat Senate increased the deficit from $100 Billion to close to $2 Trillion in less than 31/2 years.

Pandering by the Democrat Senate to the NEA, SIEU, NAACP, feminists, etc for the last 31/2 years has cost America $ 2 Trillion while losing 6,403,000 jobs.

And the current Democrat Congress can’t even pass a budget!

So let me ask you these simple questions: Who do you think is best for saving the USA economy? Who do you think is best to save America now?
