Dear Sirs,
You need to get on board. Politicians allowed extensive immigration to satisfy the demands for lower paid employees because of the lack of youthful employees for the last 20 years. That lack of low paid youthful employees was a direct result of the low birth rates in the 1970s and 80s.
Your relaxed treatment of immigration harmed the USA. The huge influx of immigrants harmed our culture because there too many immigrants to assimilate them correctly into America. 100 million of our current population of 300 million are immigrants or direct offspring. And you guys in Congress encouraged it.
You have been hiding the fact that a root cause to so many of the economic and cultural problems in the USA are because the indigenous population is not having enough children. Because baby boomers did not have enough children to replace themselves as they aged:
– the increasing average age of Americans is driving up the average cost of healthcare per person.
– there are fewer people paying into Social Security per the number of retirees.
– there is less demand for products per capita
So how are you going to correct this problem of a low birth rate? When are you going to step up to the situation and tell the public the truth?
The truth is getting out despite you. The negative birth rate in the USA is killing us. We need to have at least enough children to replace the existing population.
We need to make babies here in the USA …. not immigration.
