Lindsay Graham appeared on TV the other day and suggested that Social Security benefits need to be cut to keep it solvent. 

Once again, Lindsay is wrong.  

Government spent the money from Social Security on stuff other than the retirements of those who contributed. Now the Social Security savings are gone. The government spent our savings when it used Social Security for other projects.

The federal government used a little noticed line in the legislation to use the Social Security Trust Fund for things other than payments to the contributor.  The government raided the fund.  LBJ and the Democrat Congress of the 1960s were the first to raid it.  They used it to finance the Great Society since most other funds were being used by LBJ for his Viet Nam War.  That act of theft from Social Security funds has been duplicated by almost every administration since LBJ.  

The Social Security System morphed from an annuity program to a ponzi scheme where the current generation of workers pays the retirement benefits for the current retirees.  And since the baby boomers did not have enough children to replace themselves, the decreasing number of workers per retirees must pay more into the fund or it will operate at a deficit.  Therefore, the Social Security Trust fund is close to insolvent today and the solution proposed by the government is too cut back on the benefits to retirees.  The Social Security program became just another tax on people to finance other government programs.

1.  Politicians and economists are discussing how benefits need to be cut back for retirees in order to keep Social Security solvent.  That is not true.  Look at the wages for government employees and the number of them.  Since government employees make 30% more than their counterparts in the private sector, their compensations can be cut to more than offset the deficits in the Social Security trust.  The Federal Government stole the money from our pensions in the Social Security Trust and used it for political projects, so the federal government needs to figure out how to pay it back.  And one way is to cut government employee compensation. A five percent cut to all government workers would provide the $30 Billion per year to keep Social Security solvent with no reductions to benefits to retirees.
2. All legislation, especially legislation like Obamacare, must be inspected closely to make sure that there are no imbedded taxes and imbedded rules that will hurt America in the future like how politicians used the Social Security funds.

Have you been tuned into the TV lately?  All the mainstream media are discussing how Obama’s poll numbers are increasing.  Those are mainstream media polls, that is. 

As of today, the non-media polls like Rasmussen still show that those who strongly disapprove of Obama are at 37% while those who strongly approve are at 27%.  And “Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president’s performance,” while “Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.”

Once again, the mainstream media is selling Obama rather than reporting.  Also note that “somewhat approve” is not a ringing endorsement of his performance.  “Somewhat approve” does not mean “approve,” but the media is trying to make us think it does. 

The mainstream media is trying to put lipstick on the Obama pig.  They are creating a self fulfilling prophesy of increasing poll numbers. 

The Pew Research Center studied the stories carried on the news of the three most prominent cable stations during the 2008 election.  The study did not include editorial oriented shows like Olbermann, Larry King, and Hannity.  It focused on just the news shows.  This is how these three stations fared at reporting negative news about the two presidential candidates.

MSNBC and CNN created a self fulfilling prophesy. 

The media is now trying to make the case that Obama can win in 2012 like how Bill Clinton won in 1996 after suffering a dramatic defeat in 1994 and after raising taxes.    

The facts about 1996 do not bear out what the pundits are trying to sell us. 

In 1992, Clinton won with only 43% of the vote because Ross Perot split the Republican vote.  Clinton received 44,909,889 votes.  The combination of Perot and Bush received 57% or 58,846,812.   In 1996, votes for Clinton only increased by 700,000 to 45,628,667.  Once again, Perot split the Republican vote.  Dole was a boring candidate, but even with Dole, the combination of Perot and Dole still received more votes than Clinton.  If the Republican vote had not been split in 1992 and/or 1996 by Perot, Clinton would have lost both elections. 

Compare Reagan to Clinton.  Votes for Reagan actually increased from 43,267,489 in 1980 by 7 million votes (10 times more than the increase for Clinton in 1996) to 53,428,357 in 1984.  

Why did Reagan do so well and Clinton did not?  Clinton increased taxes and Reagan decreased taxes.  Clinton tried to ram universal healthcare down the throats of America and Reagan decreased government programs.  Clinton decreased the military percent of spending and Reagan increased it.  Clinton gave America Able Danger and Reagan called the USSR an evil empire. 
Look at Carter in 1980 as a more appropriate forecast for Obama rather than Clinton in 1996.  Carter lost votes from 40,827,394 in 1976 to 34,964,583 in 1980 while the Republicans increased by almost 6 million votes.  If the same 6 million votes switch from Obama to Republicans in 2012, then Obama will lose the election at 52% to 47%.

So how can Obama be defeated?

1.  By getting out the truth.  The mainstream media will continue to bias its reporting so conservatives need to use alternate methods like World Net Daily and Atlah to get out the truth.  And conservatives need to scream discontent about Obama on every occasion on the mainstream media.  Republicans who compromise will hurt the conservative movement. 
2. By selecting a good candidate for President like Pence, Pawlenty, Petraeus, Christie,   Daniels, or even Cuccinelli (but not another Bob Dole) who is interesting, articulate, and has experience to fix the economy and cut government spending … and then select Marco Rubio as the Vice President candidate.
3. By pointing out how Obama has not brought transparency to government.  Where are his long form birth certificate, his passports, and his college documents? 
4. By pointing out how Obama has divided America by race, gender, and class and continually lied to America.  Don’t let America forget how Gates, Wright, Ayers, Rezko, Alinsky, and Soros have influenced Obama.  This is the most corrupt government in the history of the USA.
5. By fighting Obamacare in Congress and in the courts, fighting the czars, fighting all the increased taxes that are seen and are hidden.  And by making everything about Obama visible to America. 
6. By making any and all bailouts and/or earmarks visible to all Americans and stopping them. 
7. By providing good ideas on how to increase demand for American made products and to decrease foreign oil purchases by drilling for more oil and building more nuclear sites.
8. By pointing out how the USA is still in Iraq and Gitmo and how the USA is losing soldiers in Afghanistan at a rate that is much higher than it was in Iraq. 
9. By continually discussing how Obama spent $1.75 trillion with no results.
10. By being active.  Join your local Tea Party.  Attend national rallies in DC. Display bumper stickers and posters. Attend town hall meetings.  Be vocal.
11. By staying unified in defeating Obama.  No Ross Perots.  No independent candidates who split the conservative vote.        
12. And by forcing Democrats to justify how any and all of their actions are constitutional.

Conservatives need to challenge Obama about everything and in every way to beat him.  The media will not do it.

The polls that are coming out about Obama from the media like CNN, Gallup/USA Today, and AP are bogus. Once again, the media are trying to influence public opinion rather than report on it. To somewhat approve of Obama’s performance is not an endorsement. Look closely at how the media is asking the question. The question should be “do you approve or disapprove?”

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 27% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Thirty-eight percent (38%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11 (see trends).

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. Overall, 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president’s performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove.

Most voters continue to favor repeal of the health care law passed by Congress last year.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a great man.  He had his flaws, especially with women, but he also had a dream for mankind.  He saw in his dream all men and women of all colors walking hand in hand as equals.  Not as financial equals or intellectual equals, but as humanitarian equals.  Many of us walked in marches across America during the 1960s to support him and then mourned him when he was assassinated.
 
Bobby Kennedy was a great man.  He had his flaws, especially with women, but he also had a dream for mankind that was a mirror of Martin Luther King, Jr.  Bobby put his dream for America into action in his quest to become president in 1968.  Many of us campaigned to help him get elected and then mourned him when he was assassinated.
 
These two great men of the 1960s were both assassinated because of their dreams.  
 
In the United States, there are eleven holidays recognized by our federal government.  These have changed since my days as a child in Detroit.  The holidays for the birthdays of George Washington and Abe Lincoln along with the holiday for Good Friday during the Easter weekend have been eliminated.  Instead, the Federal Government celebrates President’s Day, which lumps all the presidents together, and ignores Easter.

A couple of things jump out from this list. 
 
First, holidays fall into three categories.  Holidays either celebrate an event, or a group of people, or an individual.
 
Next, there are only three holidays that recognize individuals.  There is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day for Martin Luther King, Jr., Columbus Day for Christopher Columbus, and Christmas for Jesus Christ.  Of those, only one holiday is dedicated to recognize an individual who was an American citizen.  That holiday for an American citizen is Martin Luther King Day.  Columbus and Christ were not American citizens.
 
So why are there no federal holidays for any other American citizens?  How about a Ben Franklin Day?  Or a Bobby Kennedy Day?  Or a César Chávez day?  Are there no other citizens in the history of the United States who are worthy of having a dedicated holiday other than Martin Luther King, Jr.?
 
Or better yet, if there are no holidays to honor any other American citizens, then why do we celebrate a holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr.?
 
We celebrate a holiday for Martin Luther King as patronizing for Black votes and as political correctness.  It is reverse discrimination.  It is an action of tyrants.  Martin Luther King Jr. has been exploited by politicians and tyrants for their personal political agendas in the name of social justice – . 
 
Martin Luther King, Jr. would never have tolerated this reverse discrimination, this inequality. 
 
Tyrants have been using political correctness for eternity to cause the masses to conform.  Sensitivity is one thing.  Decent human beings should respect one another.  Suffocation is another.  And tyrants in the United States are no exception.  Suffocation of dissent towards these “politically correct” actions is another way the “in crowd” oppresses the mind of man. 
 
Martin Luther King would have demanded that we either add holidays for other American citizens or eliminate the one for him.  

Undeniably, political rhetoric is hotter than it has been since the 1960s and ought to be dialed down. But Barack Obama, talking tough in 2008 about how he would deal with Republican attacks, himself said, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun. … Folks in Philly like a good brawl.”

Because so many people have asked me “why is America in so much trouble?” and “Is America dying?…this is from my book, Save America Now:

At our MBA program at the University of Arizona in 1970, Dr. Navin would spend much time discussing the stages of a business.  Dr.Navin took the U of A program and moved it from a B-level program to a top-notched program.  As a Harvard disciple, Dr. Navin believed in the case study approach.  We used the following model to analyze the maturity level of the companies in each case that we studied.

Dr. Navin explained that a business emphasized different aspects as it matured.

·        Research and development

·        Operations (manufacturing and distribution)

·        Sales

·        Marketing

·        Finance

·        Legal

Dr. Navin would tell us that if you could figure out the emphasis of a company, then you could figure out its stage in its business life/cycle.

·        Research and Development (R&D) = Infancy

·        Operations (manufacturing and distribution) = Adolescence

·        Sales = Young adult

·        Marketing = Mature adult

·        Finance = Elderly

·        Legal = Dying

… Dr. Navin then went on to say that it was the obligation of the business executives to the business owners (stock holders) to maintain a balance of maturity in a business or to shut it down at the time that it paid the most to the owners since they took the risk to invest in the business.  That stage to shut it down was typically when most emphasis of the business was on financial issues … when it was elderly and not yet dying.

And how does a business maintain such a balance?  By having products in each stage of the cycle ready to replace the others as each continues through the cycle.  If a company is stuck in the legal cycle, then get out.  Sell everything.  The business is about to die … 

The United States just elected (in 2008) the first president with no operational leadership experience.  All forty-three previously elected presidents (yes, all forty-three) had operational leadership experience before being elected president.  Some were military officers like JFK, Grant, Eisenhower, and even Lincoln.  Some were government executives like Jefferson, Carter, FDR, and Clinton.  Some lacked international experience and some lacked legislative experience, but none lacked operational leadership experience until Obama. He is a lawyer who lacks any operational executive experience.

So where does that suggest the United States is in its maturity/life cycle?

Let’s look at the Obama platform during the 2008 election.  Redistributing wealth.  Healthcare insurance – not healthcare as a product, but healthcare insurance.  Redirecting funds from Iraq to service projects.  Appointing liberal judges.  Changing laws about union voting rules, gun ownership and the “Fairness doctrine.”  What stages are these?

If the United States were a company, what would its stage of emphasis be?  How much would you invest in its stock?   How much would you invest in its future?

…  Since the major influence to our government and many large corporations is the legal influence, then the maturity model would signal that America is about to die.

Now let me add this note:  Every solution since Democrats took control of Congress in 2007 to our economic problems has been either legal or financial (bail outs, printing money, more taxes, stimulus packages, financial reforms, healthcare “insurance,” etc.)   The Democrat controlled Congress increased the deficit from $160 Billion at the end of 2006 to almost $2 Trillion.  And more than 80% of Democrats in Congress are lawyers.  By primarily using legal and financial solutions, the Democrat controlled Congress signaled that the USA is dying.

But something happened in 2010. 33 of the newly elected Republican Congressmen of 2010 are business executives.  Maybe that is a ray of hope. Clearly, to save America, we need to remove the lawyers from running industry and the government.  Lawyers are a staff function.  They support the line functions.  We Americans made a mistake by placing lawyers in executive operational positions. There is time to correct this. We need to remove all the lawyers from line functions and replace them with operational executives.

The USA is not in a recession or a depression. The USA is suffering from a massive redistribution of wealth on a global scale that is being orchestrated by the New World Order and executed in the USA by Barack Hussein Obama and liberals … especially those in the media, government, and education. The financial pain in the USA will continue for quite some time until the standard of living of average Americans is equal to the average of the rest of the world … or unless the American people stop participating in this communization of the world.

The ultimate goal of the world elite is to have a dramatic reduction of people in the world which will result in less consumption of world resources. To accomplish this, people need to be relocated … like with more immigration to the USA. These World Order Communists see two classes, an elite and a socialized mass. The losers in this will be the American people, families, and Christianity.

Jerry predicts that Obama will make the following announcements sometime after the November, 2010 elections. He will wait until then so the announcements do not impact Democrats negatively in the elections. Obama will tell America that the USA is close to bankruptcy, therefore, a value added tax (VAT) is needed in addition to all other taxes. This VAT will tax “all” Americans. He will ask Congress to pass a law that will mandate that all personal pension accounts (401 K, IRA, etc) must invest in a stipulated minimum amount of government debt because foreigners are not investing as much as needed to cover the national debt. And he will ask the Federal Reserve to increase their purchases of Treasury Notes.

The result of those announcements will be a tax revolt in America that will be the largest in the history of the country. Because of healthcare insurance and these additional taxes, the average cumulative taxes paid by the average working American will jump from 54% of income to 65%. The liberal 20% of America will continue to agree with what he is doing. The other 80% of America will revolt because:

They will see him as a liar and a deceiver.
They will question his ties to Islam, his ties to Communism, and his citizenship.
They will understand his deliberate violations of the US Constitution.
Jerry predicts that Obama will be a one term president…if that…and that Democrats will turn to Hillary Clinton for 2012. The ground work has already started for this.

Therefore, these are my thoughts. We all need to educate everyone that we know that America is financially in trouble because of the deliberate actions of liberals since they took control of Congress at the end of 2006. We cannot let the Democrats wait to discuss their world order redistribution of wealth until after the elections. We must stop this path of USA financial destruction. This affects everyone in the USA from young to old to workers to retired to men to women to unions to executives to rich to poor.

Everyone in the USA lives much better than the average person in the rest of the world. So this world redistribution of wealth is affecting all of us … not just the rich. And we must stop it now. We must stop Obama. And we must stop the power to destroy America from being handed to Clinton or any other liberal elitists.

Dear Sirs,

You need to get on board. Politicians allowed extensive immigration to satisfy the demands for lower paid employees because of the lack of youthful employees for the last 20 years. That lack of low paid youthful employees was a direct result of the low birth rates in the 1970s and 80s.

Your relaxed treatment of immigration harmed the USA. The huge influx of immigrants harmed our culture because there too many immigrants to assimilate them correctly into America. 100 million of our current population of 300 million are immigrants or direct offspring. And you guys in Congress encouraged it.

You have been hiding the fact that a root cause to so many of the economic and cultural problems in the USA are because the indigenous population is not having enough children. Because baby boomers did not have enough children to replace themselves as they aged:

– the increasing average age of Americans is driving up the average cost of healthcare per person.
– there are fewer people paying into Social Security per the number of retirees.
– there is less demand for products per capita

So how are you going to correct this problem of a low birth rate? When are you going to step up to the situation and tell the public the truth?

The truth is getting out despite you. The negative birth rate in the USA is killing us. We need to have at least enough children to replace the existing population.

We need to make babies here in the USA …. not immigration.

Peter Morici has been a guest on several financial TV shows in the last couple of weeks … including
MSNBC, CNBC, Fox Financial, and Fox News. He is a professor of economics at the University of
Maryland.

Professor Morici stated that one of the root causes to our economic problems is:

that there is not enough demand for goods and therefore there is not enough consumption to
create more jobs. And this cannot be cured by lower interest rates or by more investment money
or by “deals.”

How many times has this been said by me in the last 2 years? And why is Peter Morici one of the only
other people to say this out loud?

Since the birth rate was so low in Western Europe, Japan, and the United States in the 1970s through
1985, there are not enough 40 to 55 year old consumers to replace the decreasing consumption of the
aging baby boom generation. And that affects everything. There is less demand for cars, housing,
appliances, and furniture.

The baby boom generation did not have enough children to replace themselves as they aged.

On the telephone today, Professor Morici told me that this current federal government knows the lack of
demand is the root cause to the economic problems, but it refuses to do anything about it.

This administration knows that bailouts, investments in corporations like GM, and stimulus projects do not
solve the problem of decreased demand for products.

So why would this White House or Congress refuse to discuss this lack of demand for products? Why
would they continue to spend tax payer dollars on economic programs that they know will not help correct
the problems caused by decreasing demand?

Let me say this in one word: POLITICS.

The current government is using this economic crisis to take over industries like healthcare, force the
USA into socialism, and justify open borders. It is using this crisis to steer money to its political friends
like ACORN and George Soros and GE (MSNBC and NBC) and insurance companies. It is using this
situation to help unions like the teachers union and service workers without fixing this lack of consumption
from negative population growth.

The government has been using the low birth rate to justify more immigration which is a disaster for
the indigenous population.

If the government admits that there is too little demand because of the falling birth rate to Americans, then
many of us are going to ask, “why did the birth rate fall so much?”

And the answer is going to be simple: Liberals in America, Western Europe, and Japan convinced the
younger people to not have children. They did this in our schools, in the movies, on TV, and with the
tax structure. Liberals emphasized abortion, contraceptives, an attitude of a sex in the city, and the
glamour of being single. They convinced the young people in the industrialized world that careers are
more important than having children, while the young people in 3rd world countries continued to breed
like bunnies. Liberals destroyed family values and the birth rate.

And if you doubt this, then sit in a college classroom or a high school classroom, watch TV, and go to the
movies. What is being emphasized?

Feminists, gays, and new world order liberals are in control of the classrooms and entertainment. They
brainwash our young.

This year, the birthrate for the white populations fell again in Western Europe and the USA to less than
half of what is needed to support a steady state population. The white population of industrialized
nations has fallen from 25% of the total population of the world to less than 10% in the last 50 years
because white people are not breeding while 3rd world people are breeding a lot, especially Muslims and
Hispanics. The entire growth of the world population is from 3rd world countries and immigrants from
those 3rd world countries.

So what does that say for the future? What does that say about a recovery for the economies of the
western world?

No children, no future. This current government likes that idea and so do the liberal media, entertainers,
and teachers. And so they continue to brainwash our young that not having children is a good thing
which is destroying our economy and our culture.

The USA needs a bold “New Deal” for the twenty-first century.

One of the root causes to our current economic problems is the low birth rate in the USA from 1970 to 1985. Because of it, the percent of people between the ages of 40 and 55 is declining. And so is the demand for real goods.

People between 40 and 55 drive the economy. They are at their maximum earning years and at their maximum consumption years. They consume for children going to college, buy larger homes, buy expensive play toys, purchase additional cars, and add more furniture. And consumption of real goods drives the economy….not consumption of services.

The decrease to the percent of people between the ages of 40 and 55 caused a decrease in demand for real products like houses, furniture, cars, boats, etc.

Some politicians tried to solve this problem with increased immigration, but extensive immigration causes more problems than it solves…especially if the immigrants have no jobs, no families, don’t assimilate, and aren’t between 40 and 55.

The federal government used financial bailouts to try to stimulate the economy. It invested in the auto industry, gave money to home lenders, gave bailout money to teachers, etc. And none of it worked because none of it solves the problem of decreased demand for products.

Since the number of people between 40 and 55 does not increase again until 2022, we have a huge problem that cannot be solved by these financial bailouts.

Using taxpayer money for financial bailouts is a loser. It just redistributes money without increasing consumption. It does not replace the missing consumers between 40 and 55.

Oh, some think that the USA can just increase exports to sell more real goods. But increasing exports requires that the USA become more competitive at manufacturing products. And as long as unions will not help decrease manufacturing costs, educators do not produce enough engineers, and the government does not reduce the high taxes on manufacturing companies; most companies will continue to outsource manufacturing and the USA will not be competitive at exporting products.

So here is another idea. This is a short term fix that will help for a while as the USA tackles those problems that are chasing manufacturing out of the USA:

Our federal government should buy $100 billion of finished goods that are made in the United States by U.S. corporations with American made components and throw them away.

FDR spent lots of money on infrastructure, increased taxes, and used financial bailouts with no impact on the Depression. The Depression finally ended in 1940 when the United States purchased finished goods as part of the “New Deal,” stored them, and eventually threw them away…and when it bought goods for WWII. Consumption of goods ended the Depression. Spending on goods for WWII and domestic needs created jobs by creating demand throughout the entire manufacturing supply chain. The manufacturing multiplier effect increased the economy and increased tax revenues because of increased consumption of finished goods.

This $100 billion purchase will create a million new jobs throughout the manufacturing supply chain. If a multiplier effect of 15 times happens, then this could add $1.5 trillion to the economy which is much more significant than an $860 billion stimulus package…without increasing taxes, inflation, and government nationalization of industries. And it will be done without increasing government regulatory powers over private industry. The government will simply be a consumer.

Where will the $100 billion come from? Well, $18 billion per year will come from eliminating earmarks. The remainder will come from eliminating government service projects that have no multiplier effect…like bailouts for teachers and union pension funds. $100 Billion is less than 3 percent of our federal budget and does not add any additional government employees as compared to the $860 billion bailout that increased the government by almost a third.

But here is the kicker. The government will need to destroy these goods that it buys with this $100 Billion. The government needs to consume products just like firing bullets or dropping bombs. The government cannot give these goods away and it cannot sell these goods. These goods need to be destroyed so they cannot be used to satisfy other existing demand. This program needs to add to demand…not satisfy existing demand…for it to be successful at replacing the missing demand of people between 40 and 55.

Is this administration listening? Probably not. While this idea actually attacks the problem of decreased demand for goods, this administration is only interested in spending money to help its political base of teachers, unions, insurance companies, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, etc. And there is no amount of spending on services that will increase jobs…only increased consumption of goods will save the economy.
