As President Obama considers nominees to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, a debate bubbles as to whether religion should play a role in his choice.

This is a no-brainer. The religious views of the next justice of the high court must absolutely be a decisive factor.

Various definitions of leadership exist and they are all vague as is the concept. “Leadership, a critical management skill, is the ability to motivate a group of people toward a common goal” or “The ability to lead skillfully.” The first seems to confuse management and leadership while both smack of manipulation. Neither hints at morality but assumes the people are being led in the right direction.

Washington (CNSNews.com) – Several state lawmakers are seeking to apply immigration laws similar to that passed by the Arizona Legislature, even as the Obama administration questions the Arizona law’s legitimacy.

At least eight states — Utah, Oklahoma, Ohio, Missouri, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, and Maryland — reportedly are considering legislation similar to the Arizona law, which allows police to determine a person’s immigration status following a “lawful stop, detention, or arrest.”
