Judgment of the Church.

    God proclaims his fairness and righteousness throughout the Bible. When it comes to judgment, who than is better at interpreting his laws than God. But how can God judge fairly the world and exclude the church? He can’t, that is why it is declared that judgment starts at the house of God (1 Pet. 4:17).

    Throughout the writings of the Old Testament, God has demonstrated judgment to Israel which the church is a type of Israel. These judgments can be used as examples of the nature and temperament of God. There are several means by which judgment was delivered. He had the Jews wonder in the wilderness for forty years because of disobedience and disbelieves, and they were not allowed into the promise land. He orchestrated the defeat of the army of Israel by another army, again because of their disobedience and lack of faith.

    The Church is not exempt from the nature of God; he is consistent in his character and obedient to his word. In Paul’s writings, he refers to the Christian as a wild olive branch that was grafted to the olive tree of God (Romans 11:17). Because the Church was grafted or adopted as Paul has referenced the body of Christ, we are now directly subject to the discipline of God as a parent chastising his children (Hebrews 12:6, 7). Paul also uses the language of being heirs to the throne of God, as a son(s) is to his father (Galatians 4:7). If we are to take examples set forth in the Bible about God and his ways of dealing and delivering judgment towards his people the Jews, then reading the bible should have sobering moments in a Christians life because Gods nature has not changed from times of old as in the Old Testament to the last two thousand years for the New Testament.

    What does God have in store for the church? We Christians hear the same story year after year about the Church being ruptured from the coming tribulation. This is one of the biggest lies to date in the Christian community. The Church will go through a period of tribulation but will not experience the wrath of God, these are two distinct events described in the bible (1 Thess. 5:9). The Apostles ask Jesus what are the signs of his return and the end of the world. Jesus replies as recorded in Matthew Twenty-Four verse Three through Fourteen; 3 While He was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately and said, Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end (the completion, the consummation) of the age? 4 Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error]. 5 For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [appropriating the name which belongs to Me], saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place; 8 All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish]. 9 Then they will
hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended and repelled and will begin to distrust and desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred. 11 And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error. 12 And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity, 13 But he who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

    In the modern Church of the Twenty-First century, Matthew Twenty-Four is considered if at all a minor verse when used in the context of end-time theology and the role it has. Almost every believer starts with the book of Revelations, when in fact we should start with Matthew Twenty-Four and Luke Twenty-One. These two chapters lay the foundation and a time line for understanding end-time prophecy’s and the sequence in-which they will happen.

    With this said; if we look at Matthew Twenty-Four verse Fourteen with the understanding that the gospel will reach the entire world before the end, well this is happening right now. When President Bush Forty-One went into the Middle-East in Nineteen Ninety One, the stage for the final play was being set. All the players were invited and participated in making for the final show. Then the disaster that happened in New York of Nine-Eleven brought us back to the stage. I personally believe and have since the beginning of this war that this is the final crusade of the Christians. What I believe will happen in this war is the fulfillment of Matthew Twenty-Four verse Fourteen. After the establishment of the new government of Iraq, Christian missionaries will begin to pure into the middle-east and spread the gospel to the final corners of the earth that have not had the opportunity to hear and to accept or reject the gospel of Jesus Christ.

    Starting at Matthew Twenty-Four verse Four through Seven; this is where tribulation toward the earth will take place and everyone will be impacted by this. This would include; wars, earthquakes, famines tsunamis, any natural disasters to an-made destructions. At Matthew Twenty-Four verses Eight through Thirteen this is the beginning of sorrows, this is the beginning of tribulation towards Christians. This period of time will greatly impact the church to the point of individuals rejecting Christ as the Messiah.

    In Second Thessalonians Two verses One through Three it reads; 1 But relative to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and our gathering together to [meet] Him, we beg you, brethren, 2 Not to allow your minds to be quickly unsettled or disturbed or kept excited or alarmed, whether it be by some [pretended] revelation of [the] Spirit or by word or by letter [alleged to be] from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has [already] arrived and is here. 3 Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition). This great period of tribulation will test the fabric of believers to keep the faith.

    In Matthew Twenty-Four verse Nine states, “we will suffer affliction and tribulation and be put to death.” How can they put Christians to death if they have been taken away in the rapture? This rapture of escaping any tribulation is misrepresented and taught with the believe of being the great escape from the suffering that lies ahead. I personally believe it is taught to help increase the numbers that an origination can report, much like a sport event. An origination must sale this escape package just as an insurance sales person sales a policy; it must provide hope of eternal salvation and not test depth of the policy holder’s character or faith. What a sweet deal, where do I sign? There is a rapture but it happens much later in Matthew, it is shown starting at Twenty-Four verse Twenty Nine, 29Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and beat their breasts and lament in anguish, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory [in brilliancy and splendor]. 31 And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect (His chosen ones) from the four winds, [even] from one end of the universe to the other… 40 At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken and one will be left. These verses that come later in Matthew describe a gathering of the faithful, but it is not until the fulfillment of a great and horrible tribulation that the earth and man cannot escape.

    In Revelations there is a lot of detailed information concerning the end times and what part the believer will have during this period. As you read these verses you should recognize how the events line up with Matthew Twenty-Four. I will start with Revelations Six verse Seven, 7 When the Lamb broke open the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living creature call out, Come! 8 So I looked, and behold, an ashy pale horse [black and blue as if made so by bruising], and its rider’s name was Death, and Hades (the realm of the dead) followed him closely. And they were given authority and power over a fourth part of the earth to kill with the sword and with famine and with plague (pestilence, disease) and with wild beasts of the earth. 9 When the Lamb broke open the fifth seal, I saw at the foot of the altar the souls of those whose lives had been sacrificed for [adhering to] the Word of God and for the testimony they had born. 10 They cried in a loud voice, O [Sovereign] Lord, holy and true, how long now before You will sit in judgment and avenge our blood upon those who dwell on the earth? 11 Then they were each given a long and flowing and festive white robe and told to rest and wait patiently a little while longer, until the number should be complete of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed as they themselves had been. Just like in Matthew Twenty-Four, the tribulation started against the earth and its inhabitants, and then quickly it switches over to the persecution of the believers. Who is crying with a loud voice to avenge their blood while wearing white robes? Reads like it is believers who were murdered during the tribulation period.

    Let’s support this position with other scripture from Revelation Seven starting with verse Nine, 9 After this I looked and a vast host appeared which no one could count, [gathered out] of every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages. These stood before the throne and before the Lamb; they were attired in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. 10 In loud voice they cried, saying, [Our] salvation is due to our God, Who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb [to Them we owe our deliverance]! 11 And all the angels were standing round the throne and round the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] and the four living creatures, and they fell prostrate before the throne and worshiped God. 12 Amen! (So be it!) they cried. Blessing and glory and majesty and splendor and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and might [be ascribed] to our God to the ages and ages (forever and ever, throughout the eternities of the eternities)! Amen! (So be it!) 13 Then, addressing me, one of the elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] said, Who are these [people] clothed in the long white robes? And from where have they come? 14 I replied, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who have come out of the great tribulation (persecution), and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. In verse nine, it starts out describing a gathering of people from every nation, language and race and notice that they are wearing the same white robes that where described earlier in revelations Six.. Why are these people gathered together and who are they? This is the very question put to John in is vision by an elder. John in response to the question put the question back to the elder in hopes of receiving the answer. The answer is very clear with no need of interpretation from any theologian; in verse Fourteen John records the elder’s response as “these are they that came out of the great tribulation” These are Christian brothers and sisters who have died for the gospel of Jesus Christ, or maybe these are the ones that forgot to renew their rapture policy sold to them by brother theologian?

    There is another description of these events as they happened to the believers found in Revelations Twenty verse Four, 4 Then I saw thrones, and sitting on them were those to whom authority to act as judges and to pass sentence was entrusted. Also I saw the souls of those who had been slain with axes [beheaded] for their witnessing to Jesus and [for preaching and testifying] for the Word of God, and who had refused to pay homage to the beast or his statue and had not accepted his mark or permitted it to be stamped on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived again and ruled with Christ (the Messiah) a thousand years. I believe this description of beheading Christians is how the saints of Jesus that are under the alter dressed in whites robes were killed.

    When I read about the beheading of Christians and the magnitude of it, multiple nations, languages, races I realized that it had to be in the future. Because the number of Christians that have been martyred can not with any interpretation of past or present events satisfy that description. I always envisioned beheading by guillotine, just because of the magnitude of the multitude of believers. But in light of current events my view has changed, I believe it will be the Muslims that will be doing the beheading. I am wrong in thinking that a stationary execution apparatus could reach such great numbers, what can is soldiers going from house to house, from town to town and murdering the faithful. Just like we have been witnessing for about the last ten years plus in Africa, Muslim Africans slaughtering Christian Africans with machetes. Even with this long period of tribulation in Africa, those martyred can not satisfy the description of the multitude of believers in white robes from every nation, language and race. The only way this can come to be is for a third world war involving Muslims against Christians. We are already witnessing on a smaller scale of this in Africa, Philippines and other places around the world. I remember a story that happened this year here in the United States at one of our metropolitan cities. There was an Egyptian Christian man that was corresponding with another man via the internet. The other man was a Muslim and they were having discussions about religion. The police found the Egyptian Christian and his wife and two daughters bound and gagged with their throats slit. Its here, its now and its just a matter of when will it happen.

    The are three religions that are different but share the same fleshly father, these are Judaism, Islam, and Christians and their father is Abraham. God promised that through him and his
wife Sarai he was going to establish a nation. There one problem with this, that Sarai was in her nineties and barren. At Sarai’s request she had her handmaiden lay with Abraham so that through her handmaiden she could give Abraham a son. Hagar, Sarai’s handmaiden conceived and bore a son for Abraham and God told Hagar to name this child Ishmael (Gen 16:11). Ishmael is the branch that Muslims come from; the Old Testament says that God keeps his promise to Abraham concerning Ishmael and will twelve nations from him (Gen 21:16, 25:16). In Genesis Sixteen verse Twelve it states, And he [Ishmael] will be as a wild ass among men; his hand will be against every man and every man’s hand against him, and he will live to the east and on the borders of all his kinsmen. This scripture is describing the character of Ishmael’s nations and that he will war against every other nation.

    In an article titled History of Islam: The so many totalitarian regimes, the so many battles and wars show current wars that involve Muslims. It is stated that out of sixteen conflicts around the world, Muslims are involved with thirteen. Here is a list of current conflicts; The Iraq war, Afghanistan war, Muslim Palestinians have a continuous war of terrorism against Israel. In Sudan, Africa the Muslim government of the north has already killed over one million Christians in the south. Algeria is wrecked by bitter fighting between Islamic Fundamentalist and the military. Nigeria is in the midst of a civil war between Muslims and Christians. In Kenya, the Islamic Party has declared Holy war on the government. Two articles in the L.A. Times wrote about Muslims in Indonesia forcing Christians of all denominations to convert to Islam or get their throats slit. Thousands upon thousands of Christians have been first converted, and then sexually mutilated with kitchen knives and razor blades to make them conform to Muslim standards. Afterwards, they are enslaved to their local Muslim chieftain. This was not some aberration of Islam, but rather business as usual for all but the moderate factions. They have a history of murder, terror, lies and brainwashing to advance their cause of global conversion and subjugation… Their Jihad! (Dominguez)

    In the Old Testament God would use his enemy to bring tribulation to his believers as an act of discipline and judgment. I believe in light of current events and from scripture stated in this paper that God will use Muslims, to judge the church.
